SAVANNAH, GA – April 9, 2025 – Mary’s Place: Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire, Inc. (formerly the Rape Crisis Center) announces tickets are now on sale for the third annual ‘Find Your Voice’ lip sync competition. ‘Find Your Voice’ is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, April 25 at Victory North, located at 2603 Whitaker Street in Savannah.
This innovative fundraising event will once again offer guests delicious food and cocktails, a silent auction, and a chance to enjoy and vote for the teams competing for the 2025 ‘Find Your Voice’ awards. Attendees are invited to dress to impress in evening cocktail attire.
The returning competition is the nonprofit’s largest fundraising event of the year, helping raise awareness of the organization’s services to survivors of sexual assault and prevention education in the low country.
“The lip sync competition is more than just a night of entertainment – it is a community reminder that survivors of sexual violence don’t have to navigate the healing journey alone,” said Doris L. Williams, Executive Director of Mary’s Place. “We have people and resources available to help anyone struggling to find their voice, in addition to offering community education and sexual assault prevention programs for all ages. Funds raised from this competition will help to ensure that Mary’s Place will be able to maintain services for anybody who has been affected by sexual assault across seven counties within the Coastal Empire and to extend our prevention and educational programs.”
The nonprofit organization is still accepting applications from individuals, businesses, and organizations who would like to participate as a team in the competition. Each team gets to choose a song to be approved prior to the night of the competition by Mary’s Place. Participating teams will compete for the Crystal Mic Award and have the chance to win Audience Favorite and Most Funds Raised before the competition.
Mary’s Place is also appealing to the community for much needed sponsorships, beginning at only $500, which will help to maintain vital services for survivors of sexual assault as well as support prevention programs.
